No. It’s not.

 

We made vegan lasagna tonight with homemade sauce, green lentil pasta sheets, cashew parm on top and it was fucking great

edit: forgot we also made tofu ricotta for it too

 

Made a salad with romaine and herbs from my garden 10/10 recommend growing your own herbs.

Legit so easy. Sauce took 10 mins to put together then let it simmer until whenever. Assembling lasagna took 10 mins and tofu ricotta takes 90 seconds to make. Easy!

I snagged some stunning beef tenderloin at the butcher shop earlier today. I'm excited to make them with béarnaise sauce and pommes dauphinoise tomorrow night. They also had some beautiful gem lettuce so I plan on making a simple salad with a vinaigrette, parmigiano, and toasted bread crumbs to accompany the rich meal.

 

Hey ya'll I've been waffling about whether to post this for a couple days because you guys are like my only online family, I have absolutely no social media. This is really the only community I'm actively part of and this thread has really been helpful in keeping me distracted in the past couple days. A few people have reached out to check up on me and to offer support. And I got some rad comfort food suggestions and cooking has really helped me just feel normal.

If you have no idea what I'm talking about there is a post in the link where I was far more articulate. By no means do I want anyone to feel any sort of obligation, I just figure more eyes and more sharing can't hurt and I'm learning that it's okay to not feel guilty asking for help.

Love you guys. Unfortunately Molly's appetite is pretty much gone and she'll only eat box mac'n'cheese and Hot Pockets, haha, so I haven't had any good food posts as of late.

Name is stupid. But it's pretty great.

 

Oooh, also Cabe Rawit is an Indonesian green Chile sauce that is pretty great. Not sure if it's easy to get.

Last time he went to a hot sauce fair he sent me photos of these.

I think I have to get him dirty dick though cause of the name and I can make a blink-182 joke.

 

Oh dang, he's into the hot hot sauces, haha.

Dirty Dick's is really great. It's got like this really floral and fruity notes, most prominently banana which sounds weird but is surprisingly delicious.

 

Heatonist has some cool hot sauce gift packs too.

My tip is to send me some.

 

My pie priority is always the filling so I don’t usually bother making the crust from scratch. I’ve been craving a few different kinds lately though so you may inspire me to make one soon.
