Decided to do something nice for myself for once and got a lobster for dinner. People who eat lobster but don’t crack open the body are missing out on a lot of great meat

    Lemme know how it goes!

Wait, people don't eat the body?

Costco steaks look pretty great. I have one steak leftover from Aldi. Tempted to cook them both and compare just for fun but I don't think I can justify eating that much meat in one setting.

Aside from my dad and grandma no one else in my family does they just eat the claws, leg, and tail. I kind of like it though because they give me theirs haha

Agreed, I’m not into the organs or tomalley but love the meat.

Ya'll don't eat the guts! I thought that's what you meant. You are seriously missing out.

That's wild, though I suppose it's not really part of American culture to suck the brains out of shellfish.

I’d probably like it if I tried it, I love whole shrimp and stuff like that.

My wife hates when I eat shrimp heads, haha.

Crab and lobster tamale is soooooo good. I think the big thing is that the consistency can be a bit iffy for people. If you have some really good bread (or even shitty bread) and you dip it in the tamale it's amazing.

I didn’t even know there was meat in the body. I thought it was just the guts and tomalley. I like the legs a lot but there’s such little meat in them

The meat is all where the legs connect to the body! I love just chewing on the legs and getting all that sweet briny goodness. I always rinse out the tomalley and go to town.

Never seen hot dog buns cut like that until I moved to Cape Cod two years ago. Just insane... hate it. Some stores here don't even sell normal ones, just... those things.

I hated them when I first moved to New England but now I find them better for hot dogs, and they are the far superior bun for lobster rolls

    Holy Roller!

I’ve lived in New England my whole life so I’ve never really thought about the buns being different lol

I live in New England and somehow never see those buns. But they are far superior to normal hotdog buns.

Beignets and lattes for breakfast this morning. Half batch made about 20 of them so I guess I’m eating a lot today

So @Ken are you having any trouble getting meat from your butcher? I went to mine yesterday to get beef plate ribs and they only had one left.

With all of these meat plant employees getting Covid, it’s getting harder to not only get what you want, but the prices have skyrocketed.

I think things are selling out a little faster, but the products are coming in regularly.
