I do my shopping online and Costco is one of the options but I don't know if I need a membership. I'm also not used to buying in bulk so I feel like I'd fuck up.

I think you don’t need a membership if you use Instacart. Don’t stress too much! Try to think about your favorite meals, and common ingredients between those, and just get what you need. Usually I get avocados, tomatoes, broccoli, cheese, milk, proteins, potatoes...other than that it’s just what you feel like/what’s on sale. Try to shop sales if possible too. That helps a lot.

I rarely time things as I cook them, so I am not the best person to ask. I typically go by how firm the meat is and the coloration. I would start at 2 minutes on each side? Maybe 3?

Alrighty so these are the meals I have prepared the next few days:

broccoli cheddar and potato soup and pork medallions for dinner tonight

loaded nachos with Mexican style beef, guac, pico, and pickled jalapenos

enchiladas with chicken and whatever leftover beef is remaining, topped with black bean sauce and cheddar

Garlic buffalo chicken drumsticks and idk

Memorial Day hot dogs [with baked beans and blt pasta salad (already made)]

And I need to use up the fresh parsley and other veggies I have so maybe a Mediterranean meal with leftovers and homemade pita because I just learned how to make those

    ...

shit. I’m stacked. Didn’t realize how much food I actually had.

    This is good advice.

If I fuck up I'm holding you personally responsible, though.

When the only thing I have in my pantry is a 4 gallon jug of mayo and a bulk bag of white undershirts two sizes too big I'm coming for you.

Checked on some of my ingredients and I think I have a plan for the order of some meals now. Thinking it will be leftovers tonight, fried chicken tacos tomorrow, then brats with baked beans and deviled eggs Sunday.

Later next week might finally be Chinese delivery time, and that will give countless meals.

I need to get some beets. I just wish they didn’t take up so much space.

The reason food tastes so good in restaurants is because they don't give a shit about your health so they butter baste everything.

Also @Ken, I’m pretty sure I asked you about millet when I found some in my pantry, but I never updated that I tried it and it’s pretty good. Definitely has a buttered popcorn kind of smell as it cooks and then ends up pretty close to grits or polenta in taste and texture. Haven’t gotten it totally dialed in yet but I could see myself keeping this around.

anyone try Costco steaks? I'm not sure I can justify spending 60 bucks on them haha.
