Damn that's the best part of an egg

 

as I said, I'm a coward.

 

A couple of weeks ago my gf and I went into NYC and after a show went to Lil Frankie's, a place I had seen featured on a Muchies video for late night city food and was intrigued by. We got a pizza and calamari to share. Delicious.

 

Damn it. I should have went there instead of Joe's haha

 

Haven't been to Joe's but Lil Frankie's was worth it. Cash only but the place was packed at 10pm. Next time I want to try the fried zucchini. They also had some pasta dishes that looked incredible.

 

Did you like Joe's?

 

I went to Joe's after pounding tequila at Valerie. It was about 1 am when we got there. It's better than chain pizza for sure, but I get pizza that's better in my area on a consistent basis. I will definitely go elsewhere the next time I'm in NYC.

That said, Joe's was open late and the pizza was still pretty good. It simply didn't have that wow factor I was looking for.

 

Be careful. Tequila can be bad for you at high doses.

I think Joe's does the classic "NY slice" well, they're consistent and being open late is a major plus. I think Scarr's has one of the best slice's in NY, along with Best in Williamsburg. I'm absolutely spoiled and Roberta's is my "go-to" - fuckin love pizza.

Ugh I need more time in NYC. Scarr's looks fucking amazing. The main reason we went to Joe's was for the location and it being open late.

 

NYC peeps what should my gf and I get for dinner after the Silverstein show next week? It's at webster hall so preferably in that area but we could always uber.

There's so many restaurants at St Marks what kind of food

 

We eat everything! No restrictions.

If you have any restaurants in particular you've enjoyed I'd love to hear about them. We aren't picky.

Veseleka - incredible Ukranian food at a place open 24 hours a day
Madame Vo - very good Vietnamese and I remember you posting about pho and such before
The Bao - Shanghai style food, soup dumplings!
Raclette - food is just fine but this is a place where they scrape raclette cheese on everything you order

you can trip and fall into a good place around there, so many good spots.

 

have you been to Yakitori Taisho or Setagaya I know you like Japanese
