I’m sure these have since perished or been cooked already, but I love to sauté them just like kale or other bitter greens. They cook down similarly and pair really well with the usual garlic and vinegar/lemon.

i'm not a huge fan of real earthy greens like that in general, so wasn't expecting to like it a whole lot but figured it was worth trying

Oh gotcha, that makes sense. You could definitely use them in a pesto or something else that would change it up a bit more. Now I’m craving beets in all forms.

This take is too hard of a take to post on twitter or Facebook but

people that can’t take care of a cast iron pan are people that just can’t bother to learn how to cook.

I have 4 of different sizes that I use practically daily. My favorite pans.

I've seen amazing cooks with bad equipment and terrible cooks with great equipment and vice versa. Use what you feel comfortable with and/or or what you can afford.

Also salt and pepper are definitely seasoning. Not everything needs more than that. Just as some dishes shine because they have a lot of seasoning, some dishes and/or ingredients shine because they don’t. Also this whole white people vs. seasoning meme is so blatantly American.

I recently saw Babish use a couple of pizza stones to create a sort of super heated chamber in his oven and now I want to experiment.

It is so dumb. I guarantee the people who agree with that sentiment aren’t good cooks and they’re certainly not chefs haha.

I've wanted one for a couple years now but the price always seemed a little high. But the company I got my knife from makes one and they are having a 25% off sale so thinking of snagging one as a christmas gift to myself
