i Love fried chicken skin.
My gf and I found the most bombbbbb Cuban restaurant recently. Going back for dinner in a couple minutes even though we went for lunch
Made a cold soba noodle salad with Chinese broccoli! The soba noodles have a dressing of rice vinegar, soy sauce, ginger, sugar and sesame oil. I tossed in crispy shallots I made, cilantro and green onions. I would top it with toasted sesame seeds as well but there are none where I am staying this week!
For the broccoli I put it in a pan with garlic and chilis in oil, rice vinegar and some water to steam it. Then I removed the broccoli, added sesame oil and oyster sauce and cooked it about a minute before topping the broccoli. These dishes both came out much better than I expected, I should always cook stoned
I'm going to make some soft boiled eggs to add on top. I probably have 7-8 servings here. Pretty easy, tasty and light for the summer!
EDIT: Forgot that there's also shiitake mushrooms that I sauteed in there.
chinese broccoli the best
cold noodles are the besttttt
I literally just had the illest cannellini beans of my life. My mum made them lol
Tonight’s dinner accompanied by Wes Montgomery
2 days into Chicago, there’s so much good food here that I haven’t even had a hot dog or pizza yet.
some highlights have been the Lincoln Park sandwich from Frances’ Deli, breakfast burrito (+crime brûlée latte) at Elevate Coffee, and red curry from Cozy Noodles. and those were all within walking distance of our work location.
still gonna try to hit Au Cheval before my flight out tomorrow.

But seriously that burger looks lush
Lol I love that subreddit!
I prefer plates, but anything is better than a way too small plate. My favorite bagel place in town has way too fucking small plates and it pisses me off every time lol
Shucked oysters for the first time today and it was pretty easy. I have now been designated the official oyster shucker by my in-laws
Crab cake eggs Benedict
Instant pots are an absolute game changer for meal prep. Sautéed all my veggies, cooked my chicken, and all my hard boiled eggs in no time.
My instapot is my favorite thing. It makes cooking so much easier.
that and air fryer
Popeyes just entered the spicy chicken sandwich game and damn they delivered tbh.
It looked like a normal chicken sandwich so I was like meh but when I bit into it, it was so damn juicy and I was like WTF this is amazing.
also my side was mashed potatoes and those were pretty good also.
I'm a little ashamed of myself for eating at Wendy's, but their spicy nuggets came back yesterday and it was a magical experience. Those were my favorite things to get after a long day bagging groceries in high school and was so pissed when they discontinued them
spicy nuggets with the 4 for 4 is 2 legit 2 quit
I get this way more than I'd like to admit.
Thank god the spicy nuggets are back
