This might be blasphemy, but that shake shack chicken sandwich has quickly made its way to the top of my favorite fast food chicken sandwiches list.

 

Also, I'm really enjoying this season of Top Chef.

Not exactly, but close enough, I'd say.

 

I just watched a woman order a flatbread at subway. Inside she had bacon, green peppers, sweet peppers, and pickles. Extra mayo.

I felt dirty just watching her order it.

 

I think I'll allow it?

 

we just got a shake shack here, i should go try it. it's dead center in amazon HQ tho which is such a hassle to drive to.

 

To be fair you're at Subway

 

As many of you may know I'm not a huge fan of vegetables so when I am forced to go to Subway, I usually just get steak and cheese with chipotle sauce

 

The only reason I go to subway is for the veggie sandwich on wheat... sometimes tuna. Their meat grosses me out. Wait. Everything there grosses me out. Come back quiznos.

 

I just remembered that I have a ton of dried morel mushrooms which are apparently amazing (so I've heard). Does anyone have any ideas on what I should cook em with/into?

 

They now hava vegetarian McChicken at McDonald’s in the Netherlands and it's great

 

i've used dried porchinis for a very good vegetable bolognese

 

Mushroom Risotto, Pasta, Soup, chicken with morel dijon white wine cream sauce, Pizza, Coq Au Vin, Beef Bourguignon, throw them in a pan sauce for whatever meat you're cooking, or in an omelette/eggs. Polenta. Pulse them in a food processor and combine with butter and use as a garnish on seafood/meat. Stir fry.

 

shake shack doesn’t have a location here so I can’t comment but I really do want to try every fast food chicken sandwich and determine which is the best.

My Azerbaijani friend’s mother brought me a big box of home-made Baklava when she came to visit from Azerbaijan. Sadly it’s all gone now, but wow it was so good.

 

I need to come up with a dish for tomorrow that will blow my friend's mind. He's a chef and I want to challenge what his perception of my cooking is. The tricky part is his fiance is a picky eater, so I'm gonna have to avoid onions, mushrooms, and most fish. Shrimp and shellfish are okay, but not tuna or salmon. I also have very little time to prepare. Ugh.
