Ah I see haha. Well have you ever made risotto? A mushroom or butternut squash risotto would be a nice weekend meal in the fall.

Side note, I just finished watching Salt, Acid, Fat, Heat on Netflix and I really enjoyed it. Reminded me a lot of Cooked from a couple years ago and how 4 basic things can dictate recipes from around the world. Also the host was enjoyable and very respectful and passionate about food and the people she met with.

Already posted this on insta but it was like a top three sandwich. Pears and roasted butternut squash and goat cheese. I wondered if it would all work but it did. Nothing was too overpowering and it all complemented rly well. Soup was decent too.

Was in LA yesterday and got some good food.

 

I started intermittent fasting today. Made me find out I like black coffee now, which makes me feel old, haha.

 

I made this and it's not bad. I did make a few changes based on what I had (coconut oil instead of olive, no parmesan, canned peas instead of frozen) and forgot to follow the tip about adding the mushrooms last. The peas kind of detracted. Good stuff though

 

Black coffee is the best, only way I can drink it now.

 

Does anyone have any go to salmon recipes? Trying to figure out what to make for dinner tonight.

oh yeah

 

mmm it's a lot of work and ingredients but Vietnamese salmon wraps. you could broil the salmon in some hoisin marinade and then use that as protein for your salad rolls. salad rolls are my faaaaave.
