sounds delicious. May I ask why you rinse your beans? I never know if I should rinse them or not, but I typically just dump the whole thing in a pot and let it reduce. I always buy the reduced or no sodium added beans though.

 

All the recipes I read that involve canned beans say to rinse them, and an ex taught me the same thing. I assume something in the liquid is not great. BPA or just generally unclean, idk

I'm good on that. Kale just isn't vibrant enough.

 

Kale isn't really an herb... so why put it in there? Chimichurri packs suck a punch, it seems like a crime to temper it with kale. Or am I crazy?

My recipe is typically oregano, parsley, cilantro (sometimes), garlic, red wine vinegar, S&P, jalapeno and olive oil.

 

Rough chopped kale
Italian Parsley
Basil
Cilantro
Mint
White Onion
Jalapeno (w/seeds)
Olive Oil
Lime Juice
Salt

 

I just don't get the kale. It seems out of place to me.

I also don't like food process that shit or anything. Rough chop everything. It comes out like an olive oil salad, haha.

 

I'm not doubting you. I'm thinking that it doesn't bring much to the table. If you were to make two different sauces, one with kale and one without... I just can't help but feel the one without kale would be more vibrant. Maybe I'm wrong though.

 

I think the kale gives it a bit of earthiness. It makes the parsley, mint, and basil stand out more. In my opinion, anyway.

I went to Burger King like 3 weeks ago and I was telling the guy at the drive thru what I wanted and I guess his manager cut in and was like, "Sorry, sir. We are currently out of Whoppers." I couldn't even process that information so I got a chicken sandwich that I didn't want because I'm too awkward to just drive away.

I'm still upset about this like a month later.

I like the Original Chicken sandwich as well. The Tendercrisp is fine and usually I like it. But I didn't want a chicken sandwich. But I got flustered.

 

I will absolutely drive away if they don't have what I came for. Or if I look at the menu a few minutes and decide nothing sounds good.

I'm sorry. I hate when that happens. In a slightly related matter, I'll never understand why Wendy's doesn't make the Bacon Mushroom Melt a standard item or at least a regularly occurring special. Instead they put shit like guacamole and 100 strips of bacon on their burgers. Shameful.
