    It's never weird!

I still haven't eaten today. I said I'd make banana pancakes with eggs 5 hours ago but never did and now I'm hoping food just magically appears in my lap

I made a mental checklist of things I wanted to do today and I've actually completed none of them so I know that feeling.

I love living on my own and cooking for myself but there’s a sense of wonder that comes with visiting my parents in the summer and being able to be surprised when I open the refrigerator. Whenever I play the refrigerator game at my place I always lose

Duckfat is so good. The Highroller Lobster Co. is a fairly well-known lobster roll place in Portland and a lot of times they have a truck at Bissell Brothers. Otherwise just go to almost any of the lobster shacks along the coast of Maine and they'll be good.

I decided to eat at Whole Foods salad bar today thinking it would cheaper than a fast casual restaurant. I got a fairly modest amount of food and it came to $13

I went to cracker barrel for the first time. Their menu mentioned not all their veggies were vegetarian but didn't mark which ones so I asked a waitress who asked the manager and he was super nice and came to talk to me and marked the vegetarian friendly items with a pen and after the meal asked me if it was all good. I get rly anxious about seeming high maintenance or something so I appreciated it and the food was good. But my GOD all the butter I cannot.

I need to make a gluten and dairy free meal for some friends in a week or two. Hmmm. What to make. Not Italian food.

Good idea. I have to use corn tortillas then too, which is typically a point of contention in my house haha.

Love corn tortillas for tacos, as long as they're cooked properly. I had some at a friends house not too long ago and they just left them raw and I didn't have the heart to tell them they needed to be warmed first. It was unsatisfying.

I think that's why so many people hate them. They taste so much better than flour tortillas. Just wrap them in foil and throw them on the grill or in the oven and done!

Corn tortillas is the way to go for tacos. I like heating mine over the flame on my stove. Get that char!

Black bean tacos is something I make almost weekly because it's easy and my daughter loves them. Just a can of black beans, drained and rinsed, diced onions, and taco seasoning. Occasionally I'll mix in rice or corn, just because large quantities of beans isn't always the best way to go. I warm the tortillas on the stove in coconut oil and salt them.
