Well when I was a tween I was picky about my food so I hadn't tried one. Then I became a vegetarian and never really had the option. But the restaurant I went to last night had a vegetarian one.

I definitely have no idea how to cook Asian food. I can make a decent fried rice and a beef w/ broccoli but that’s about it. I’m gonna have to start experimenting! You’re right about vermouth too, shrimp scampi and Italian food in general beg for it.

Oh man, fried rice is my favorite. I take left over rice (has to be cold) and add it to a hot pan, with like, bacon, peppers, onion, anything really, and then I take eggs that I beat with soy sauce and garlic...add it to the hot pan of rice and you've got a meal. Top with green onions and some sesame oil (tiny amount), maybe some chile sauce...

I have this drawer in my kitchen that never shuts and I hate it. Except by some miracle it actually is staying shut rn the only problem is that it's the drawer with all my sauce and condiment packages. I want my condiments but I don't want to open the drawer lest it never shut again. I feel so attacked and controlled by this drawer. It's taking over my life.

My love for cooking Asian dishes started with an Orange Chicken recipe I can't find anymore that I've changed up over the years...it was something like this:

    Chicken
    Cut up Chicken Thighs
Toss Thighs in Egg Whites and Cornstarch (creates a crust)
    Season with Salt and Pepper
Let Rest in Fridge for 30 min.

    Sauce
1 cup Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice
Zest of orange to taste (no limit)
Red Pepper Flakes (I grind mine up in a spice grinder first)
    1 Cup Chicken Stock
    1/3 Cup Brown Sugar
    1 Tablespoon Soy
    1 Table Spoon Rice Vinegar
Ginger and Garlic (In a Press is best to avoid huge chunks)

-Cook chicken until brown on all sides, I like to include more Orange Zest with the chicken.
-Add Sauce and let reduce on low heat, add Cornstarch slurry as necessary
-Serve over white rice, and top with green onion and a fried egg (over easy)

Just finished the series yesterday. I think my favorite episodes were the first 2 - tacos and pizza. I felt like the pacing and way they did the show was looser than the last couple of episodes.
