One of my internet friends posted vegan wings yesterday and now all I've been thinking about is how good it would be.

I couldn’t fit everything in the pic, but my GF and I went to this Raw Bar on the way back from beach camping and split 18 oysters (prepared 4 different ways), some beers, and each got a Cajun style grouper poboy with a side of sautéed mushrooms and onions. It was glorious. We hadn’t eaten all day and finished it all :crylaugh:

Apparently Sonic launched a nationwide "Blended Burger" which is supposed to be healthier and more sustainable/environmentally friendly

I think the one in Hackensack is better but the Jersey City White Mana is still good.

I've been enjoying these vids. Every time I watch one I say that I wanna make a homemade burger like they do, but keep putting it off!

Making sliders like this is actually pretty easy. I made homemade White Castle burgers once, it's essentially the same concept, and they came out great:

Made homemade chicken burger patties the other night...chicken thighs in the food processor, celery, green onion, soy, salt and pepper. Then in a pan I put extra soy, honey and sriracha and let it thicken up for a sort of glaze on top served over rice with extra green onions on top...sooo good!

It's amazing how good a really simple burger can be. What's even more amazing is how many people buy frozen ground beef and premade patties that they cook to death at family bbqs and events. Gah. So many wasted opportunities for delicious burgers.

Hawaiian rollz are great for sliders absolutely. Although my favorite burger is a patty melt so rye bread is great too. Especially the rye/pumpernickel swirl.

If you want to make the perfect ramen egg (hard boiled but a bit runny inside) boil a pot of water with a little splash of white vinegar. Then take a thumb tack and stick it in the fat end of the egg, remove, and drop in the boiling water for 6 min. 30 sec. Works every time! You can even drop the noodles and some bok choy in while the egg cooks

I always thought ramen eggs were soft boiled? I guess it's just a terminology difference. I've always done soft boiled at a gentle simmer for 6 minutes, very similar to poached. Just drop it in gently and fish it out. Never had to use a tack or vinegar.
