Every time I recommend a place to eat and it's a bad experience it's like the biggest personal failure

I recommended this place to my friend and he went with his sister and they got cold food and I was so sad because he was all mad at me.

I decided to tell him let's go last night and he hesitantly ageeed. We had it and it was 10/10 but now he is convinced it was good because I'm a regular there.

Our trip to the beach this weekend was amazing. We ate at Henlopen City like I told you... I had halibut cheeks for the first time which were great. We also tried their sister restaurant The Blue Hen for cocktails and a snack and for lunch we stopped at dogfish head which was killer too. Next year we're gonna have to go for three nights, there's too much to do haha.

 

I am supposed to do takeout with friends but idk what. The ramen place below my apt finally opened so I may try that. Heart shaped pizzas are also cute but I ordered pizza for the office recently and had to take home the leftovers so I'm kinda burned out on it

 

Half off candy on Thursday is a meal right

Also, sounds like you had a great trip. There's definitely sooo many amazing places at the DE beaches, it'd be hard to even try them all in a whole week.

How'd you like the new Dogfish? They got a new head chef when they moved to the new building and I feel like they def stepped up their menu.

 

It was pretty solid. We got the wings which were pretty damn good and I had the chili cheese dogs, which were great except the cheese sauce which seemed to have too much flour in it so it was pretty grainy and thick, which I did not like. My date had the bread and butter burger which was great!

 

God damn I love wings.

 

Plus the beer at dogfish head is absolutely wonderful. That 120 minute IPA is something else.
