I tried this place Chronic Tacos that's apparently pretty popular in LA area?

I decided to get the California burrito because I'm familiar with that the most.

I was disappointed in it and it was like $9.50 sigh.

 

I really need to start getting more into tortas.

I ubderappreciate them.

 

I've never had one and I for sure know I'm fuckin up

Gotta killer mexican place a block from me...when I first moved in I lived on Tortas. Sooooo good but realized I might have a heart attack if I kept it up

 

I just had some really tasty pho for lunch, but ramen is still my favorite noodle soup.

 

Pho and ramen are both delectable, but I think ramen is only worth eating if it's really good ramen. Instant doesn't make the cut.

 

Instant ramen is helpful on a budget.

Also, cauliflower rice is the real deal. So good. Also, cauliflower "polenta" is absolutely fucked.

Also Food Skills is such a good segment that they do. They spotlighted this place with some positively ridiculous-looking al pastor tacos a few months ago (I posted about it in here and then ordered al pastor tacos that very night haha).

 

First We Feast is definitely leveraging the success of Hot Ones to do big things, I love it. Great channel.

 

Going out to dinner later, probably going to try this Cuban place near where I live now. Stoked on that.

P.S. Cuban restaurants are the shiiiiit. Dont have any around me but make it a point to hit up Little Havana whenever I'm near Miami.

Place looks great. I'm gonna have to look up how far it is from my place...I live in Wilmington, Delaware. The meals sound great, but I could honestly order like 5 things off the app menu!

Hell yea man! I spend a ton of time at the DE beaches in the summer...so many good restaurants and brewerys...its insane.

I've never been to the Oyster House, but hear its amazing. Enjoy!

 

Dogfish head too! I always go in the off season to celebrate Valentines day in Bethany Beach. It usually snows and the whole town is dead, but we get drunk and eat lots of seafood. It's amazing. I cannot recommend that oyster house enough!! You should check it out.

 

Man that sounds awesome...def a great way to spend V-Day. Dogfish is def at the top of the ladder, but now theres Crooked Hammock and Big Oyster Breweries in Lewes, both are worth checking out if you wanna stop at a couple places for a drink.

I'll def put it on my list, I just checked out the menu and drooled on my keyboard

 

The atmosphere is really cool. We randomly checked it out last year and we're going back this year. We'll have to find somewhere for lunch since we're doing happy hour/dinner at the oyster bar one night and then doing a dinner at the hotel bar the other night. Maybe the one afternoon will hit up both of those breweries. If you had to pick one, where would you go? Any food suggestions down there?

The hotel bar is typically insanely dead because of the off season... mostly just a few elderly locals. We always order a shellfish tower and a bottle of prosecco and by the end of the night, the bartenders are drinking with us and giving out free shots haha. You can't go swimming or chill on the beach, but it's still awesome to smoke a J on the balcony looking out at the ocean and playing some appleseed cast or sigur ros as loud as you want because the hotel is at such low occupancy.
