Papa Johns is my "of choice".. pizza hut seems expensive for what I get. Ceasars is cheap and better than it should be but we've had that talk.
Dominos has good crust but it's been a minute.

It’s like Dominos thought they could make all their food better by over-seasoning the crust and sauce, but the sauce is still garbage and the crust is still forgettable.

    I was confused.

There is an amazing pizza place 500 feet from where I work and we trade them sushi for pizza all the time. It's a fantastic little set up we got going.

The crust is the most important part if the pizza. You can have the best toppings but if your crust is weak than your pizza is trash.

Walmart pizza. Seasoned very well as far as grocery pizza sauce, but that crust sucks.

I got the Gordon Ramsay Masterclass course for Christmas. Pretty good so far. I'm really interested in the Thomas Keller one too.

I was at a party tonight at the house of a VP at little caesars. Had some very good pizza. Maybe it’s just better around here?

Here's two questions about flavors and what works and what doesn't. For New Years Eve, I'm making lobster gnocchi. The gnocchi is made with russets and a little ricotta. At the same time I'm making a parmesan cream sauce that has brandy, mushrooms, and white wine. There's also going to be roasted grape tomatoes and baby spinach in the dish. 1. Is bacon or pancetta overkill? I'm thinking yes. 2. Which herbs do I use and where? I'm leaning towards adding basil to the gnocchi and finishing with some chives and/or parsley. However, sometimes I think basil and spinach aren't the best combination (I know some places like to combine basil & spinach in a pesto and stuff like that, but I think their flavors can clash.) Are my concerns misguided? Should I be putting thyme in the gnocchi and finishing with tarragon? I feel like I'm going insane planning this dish and I don't have the resources to make it multiple times so I'd appreciate someone else's opinion.

I think the bacon may be overkill. Lobster is rich enough you don’t really need anything else I feel like. Not sure on the spices, would have to think on that for a bit and maybe do some research

Yeah, that's how I feel, there's no need for bacon considering the amount of butter and cream in the dish plus the lobster. I've tried looking up recipes that are similar but nothing really approaches what I have in mind. Some of the recipes I've found seem so basic. I'm trying to figure it out and I figured some of the people here are really knowledgeable. Tarragon and lobster is such a terrific combination, but for some reason I think basil might work the best and then I think... oh no, not with spinach. Ugh.
