Anyone else making the meal for Christmas? I have been on Christmas Day for the last few years and trying to figure out what to do this year. I’ve always changed it every year but I might go back to prime rib again

 

This hurts me deeply.

My partner's family is from Denmark so we always eat meatballs for Christmas and then they have a tradition where they make a giant thing of rice pudding and hide one almond in it and everyone is supposed to keep eating the rice pudding to find the almond and if you find the almond you are supposed to pretend you haven't so everyone else has to keep eating.

I hate it.

I'm watching the news and people are legit out there eating charcoal ice cream and having charcoal drinks??? World is wild.

I crudely diced some sweet potatoes and threw them and some olive oil with a bunch of seasonings together in a pan and it shockingly worked out for me

 

This salad has shredded pork, spring mix, spinach, tomatoes, cheese, onions, boiled egg halves, a pickle, and delicious ranch. I thought I’d died and gone to heaven. From a local place here.

 

I always forget about this burger joint in town cause it's in a location I never find myself in. Got a veggie burger, fries, and an Oreo shake. Deliiish. It always has an annoying wait time cause they make it fresh but once u eat it u forget all about that.

Update: veggie burger and milkshake were A+. Fries were waaaaay to salty. Next time I'll get onion rings or a side salad.

 

Ok salt and sugar coma commencing. I am dead. Posting this as a ghost from the beyond. It's kinda comforting knowing my body hasn't completely adapted to me feeding it garbage.

Been watching the latest Hells Kitchen on hulu and kinda hating on it at every turn. First time watching it.

these chefs are so unexperienced and inconsistent. They cant cook meat 7 times out of 10. like wtf is this? So many of these people are literal garbage chefs. And why are they so ignorant to foods so often? Lol

Why does Gordon Ramsay like chives so much? why does Hells Kitchen menu have such pedestrian stuff like a plain pork chop or carbonara? why does the beef wellington not have the mushrooms or other stuffing in it? Everytime they serve the scallops theyre not even close to being seared enough wtf. Why tf are they cooking NY strips completely in a skillet, no convection oven?

 

This place is something I legitimately miss about the Bay Area. It's called Koja Kitchen and they serve bulgogi beef on rice buns and it's absolutely amazing. They also have kimchi waffle fries that are really good too. If you ever find yourself in Berkeley, I highly suggest checking them out. I think they are starting to expand, but they are still only in NorCal I think.
