I actually had someone tell me they think its would be delicious. I ended the friendship.

 

Technically it is mac and cheese. I'd give it a try.

 

The secret to a good Mac and cheese is lots of garlic and stirring an egg yolk into your sauce.

Try it, you'll never make Mac and cheese another way again.

 

Garlic is a must. Do you really need the egg yolk though? I don't think I've ever made it that way. This is the best mac and cheese I've ever had/made:

two eggs every morning here. alternate between fried, sunnyside, and scrambled.

really just needs more time in the oven, and maybe more milk/butter and cheese.

Adding the egg yolk just helps with the texture of the sauce. Makes it nice and rich. I usually start my sauce with garlic and maybe some diced shallots. Add heavy cream, sharp cheddar, havarti cheese, let that reduce and finish it off by stirring in an egg yolk or two. I usually add some bacon in there too or if I'm feeling fancy some prosciutto.

 

I like Kraft when I I'm feeling nostalgic but nothing beats actual Mac n cheese. One of my faves. Once a coworker brought me Mac n cheese for my last day party and she bragged up a storm about how great it was, but it was so dry and had these dry Ritz crackers on the top and blegh. I was like cool is this u telling me that you've hated me all this time and ur sending me off with a screw u???

 

Spicy/sweet chili tonight, and lobster tails were on sale, so lobster bisque is happening later this weekend.

update: it is very spicy, but also quite sweet.

 

I went to a restaurant that used to be good and it was not great. I ordered the Mac n cheese which I've gotten before but they changed the recipe and it was completely devoid of flavor smh. They were also playing a baseball game and these two guys would shout so loudly and suddenly when anything happened that we spent the entire meal being startled af. Boo.

just an update on this I got there at around 9:35 and wasn’t out of the line until like 10:05 so that wasn’t boring.

 

My friends and I made a Pizza Roll pizza the other weekend. We also garnished it with some Doritos for good measure. It was everything you’d think it would be.

 

I had to live off pizza rolls for a week once bc that was all my aunt and uncle had to eat that didn't have meat in it. They said they didn't know what to buy for me and I didn't want to seem like an ungrateful shit but omg please never again!! The other time I house sat for them all I had to eat was french fries and chips. I gain weight every time I house sit for them lol

I went to a “24 hour” location over the weekend and they were closed. I noticed a glowing Dutch logo about a block away so I went to see what it was - turns out they were having a grand opening with a new location and I got a small coffee for a buck. Picked a good night to go for a joyride.

I have and I’ll do it again, damn it.
