    I lowkey stan for olive garden cause I'm trash but I'll def take local places over it. We used to have an Italian restaurant. It was good but weirdly reheated super gross. It lasted less than a year tho so I'll go to this new one every day if that's what keeps it open!

    I like me some shrimp fra diavolo and chicken marsala.

    Ultimate comfort food will always be chicky chickey parm parm though.


    And get outta here with that OG trash, unless you're giving me soup, salad and breadsticks that is :)

    It's basically shrimp cooked in a spicy tomato sauce and poured over linguine or whatever kind of pasta you want. Local place by me makes a killer diavolo.

    Soooooooo, I know the Chopped thing had kind of a rough beginning. We chose maybe the worst time to do it and didn't think out all the logistics. I will do better.

    Buttttttttt. @BlueEyesBrewing and @coleslawed knocked it out of the park and their efforts shouldn't go unnoticed. So anybody in here if you could take like 2 minutes and pop over here: The Food Thread's Chopped/Iron Chef Ingredient Picking Extravaganza Thread and look at both of their posts and then send me a message with some scores, I'd like to write up something nice for both of them.

    Fra Diavolo is that bang-bang. Especially with seafood.

    I'm flush with Italian places, especially pizzeria/sub shops.

    Some of my favorites are veal lorenzo, lobster & crab ravioli w/ a roasted red pepper sauce, chicken marsala, fettuccine alfredo, pappardelle bolognese, anything with gnocchi, lasagna, polenta w/ short rib ragu, beef carpaccio, rigatoni alla genovese

    I could live off cheese ravioli. Or fettuccine alfredo. Or baked ziti. Basically, I could live off pasta and be completely happy.

    [​IMG] Tried making a French omelette with gruyere cheese and chives this morning. It was pretty good although I wasn't a big fan of the chives so I'd probably leave them out next time.

    Looks great! No brown! Jacques Pépin would be proud. I love chives with my eggs. Poached, scrambled, omelette, whatever. Give me the chives.
