I’m sort of in the market for pans right now so I’ll take a look at that. Getting a cast iron has made me love cooking in a way I didn’t before, and I’m seriously considering buying a stainless steel and carbon steel to play around with since I know those also have their fans
I noticed a few of the pan chicks are hawking these this week https://www.instagram.com/p/DN6ExKIj0kS/
Hamachi crudo with watermelon granita and beef tartare with donuts fried in beef fat. Both incredible.
Man, no amount of barkeepers friend has helped me clean the black marks on my stainless steel pan haha
Cooking a tomato based sauce for an hour or more, like a bolognese, will usually lift off any stubborn burns on my steel pans.
Oh wow I never would have thought to use those on cookware.. interesting idea! Do you just wet it with water and go to town with it?
Like six months ago I had a Maduro sandwich from a dungeons and dragons themed bar. The sandwich was: sweet plantains, beans, mustard, house made pickles, swiss cheese on a dos hermanos bakery cuban bread. And I have been daydreaming about it ever since to the point I may have to go get one this week.
So I'm a personal chef and start a new role with a plant based client tomorrow. This is totally new grounds for me, and should be interesting, to say the least. Anyone here vegan/plant based and have any tips/ideas for meals?
The only reason I'd put celery in chili is if I had some in the fridge and it was going bad, but I would not typically make it that way.
