  1. It's pretty good. I didn't take pics, but I also got the Cheesy Garlic Bratwurst from Edelweiss Snacks and a birria sandwich from Jolly Holiday Bakery. Both were good.

They're mostly in Ventura county, but there are a couple in the Santa Clarita area.

I've had that! It looked like Rusty's pizza which was my guilty pleasure pizza spot when I lived in that area.

Didn’t get a chance to get the cheesy garlic bratwurst, but the standard cheesy garlic pretzel bread is mind-blowingly good

Never been to either of those places, but as someone who grew up on the Central Coast, it’s almost surreal to hear something from that area mentioned here

That area code is one of the best places on Earth to live (if you can afford it).

lol yeah. I grew up in the armpit of the area, so my view of it is different than most people. But there are great areas up there. Santa Barbara and SLO are great towns.

I also know it’s not technically considered the Central Coast, but I love Ventura. I was born there and wouldn’t mind living there at all

What do you consider the armpit?

I grew up in Santa Maria. I’d say Santa Maria and Lompoc aren’t the most desirable parts of the Central Coast

Yeah... I think that's probably the consensus for better or worse. I spent time in Goleta, SB, and then a few years in Buellton. 18 years total before my family got priced out.

    You're a seasoned vet! Haha.

Yeah I grew up in SM and my wife grew up in Morro and lived in SLO for a bit too. She misses the area a lot and really wants to move back there. But I don’t think it’s really in the cards at this point.

Me personally, I don’t really see myself going back there permanently. Not really for me. But I still love visiting though. Always look forward to Solvang visits, walks around Downtown SLO and strolls down State Street

What's the best food for when you're mildly hungover? Asking for a friend.

Great suggestions. IC Light included, although I prefer bourbon with an absurd amount of ice if I'm going that route.

I used to always crave Five Guys when I was hungover, but that place has really lost its appeal. Maybe that's because a meal there is the same price as a tour of italy at Olive Garden. I am thinking about it now though.

I’ve only had Five Guys once too bit that was over a decade ago. I recall enjoying it. Wouldn’t mind going back

Loved five guys but don’t get it much anymore. We finally got a shake shack and you get more for the price there.

Five guys Cajun fries >>> any shake shack side though. Shake shack burgers are the best fast casual in the country, imo.

I'm a sucker for those cheese fries at the shack. I'm a sucker for cheese fries in general. I think the best thing on the menu at shake shack is actually the chicken sandwich.

The cheese fries are very good. Haven’t had the chicken sandwich yet. I like the shake sauce and the cherry peppers and that’s why I usually end up going there instead of 5 guys.

But yeah I rarely do five guys anymore because those prices are outrageous. I still think they're the most delicious fast food burger out there, though, and better than burgers at most non fast food restaurants, too.
