Haha I love that video. My comment on the Rainforest was a joke, I've been there a few times and hate it so much every time. But I was more or less forced to eat there this trip. Ended up not having a ton of time to go out to eat so had lunch at a burger spot in the Tropicana and for dinner tried to go to Carmines but there were no tables available so went to some place like 20 mins outside of the city closer to our hotel we were staying at. At least now if we come back next year I'll have a list of places to try to plan for eating at. Thanks everyone!
Got the “Chef’s Tasting Menu” at this Korean BBQ restaurant on the weekend. It was all delicious. Banchan. Kimchi, roasted zucchini, egg drop, and squash. pan fried mandu, which were pork&veg dumplings in a bone broth, and kanpachi crudo, which was dry-aged amberjack, gochujang aioli, and kimchi foam. Ssam. I’m dumb and forgot to move the utensils before taking a pic. Beef sausage, tri-tip, short rib, and some kind of pork/bacon, as well as some kind of mushroom. On the side was crispy rice, rice sheets, soy-pickled onions, ssam-jang, a little salad, and greens for wrapping.
I've been making variations of the same stew recipe for a while did one a little different today and I like it a lot. It's still beef potato and carrot but the base is pinot noir and beef broth. I didn't make it spicy but it has an incredible flavor. If anyone wants to recipe let me know I give this a 9/10. The only thing I did different was add 1 cup of water instead of 2 because it seemed like it didn't need it.
Beef stew is definitely elite. Been making Mississippi pot roast alot this winter. Highly recommend if you've never had it.
