Glad I went back to your original post because I was like uhhhh wtf kind of color is the interior? Looks good though, did it turn out as far as juiciness / flavors go?
My two faves are Docks Oyster House and Knife and Fork Inn. Highly recommend Docks for happy hour, theyve got killer specials. But heads up that it starts at 4 and there will be a line to get in that starts an hour or so before the door opens.
@MarkM made two great recommendations. Dock's Oyster House is a must visit with the best happy hour in AC, but if you go later in the evening, you can probably walk in without issue. Same with Knife & Fork Inn. Go to Chef Vola's for the veal parm if you can. It is likely too late to get a reservation this weekend, but there might be a cancellation. Ocean Casino has Distrito which is great for tacos and also Amada. Both are excellent and both are ran by Jose Garces. If you're on the boardwalk, get a gyro from Bill's Gyro Souvlaki. Old Homestead in the Borgata is solid for a steak dinner and so is Kuro in the Hard Rock for sushi. Whatever you do, don't go to Wahlburgers. It's awful. Skip all the Gordon Ramsay restaurants in town too.
It's been years since I've been, but I used to go to Harrah's all the time to play poker, and there was a restaurant there next ot the poker room called Mccormicks and Schmidts that had delicious food. I usually just got the burger to save money but even that was good
Thank you for all the options! Are any of those better than The Rainforest Cafe? Because that's where I ended up last night. I'm hoping to try and get something better tonight but I'm here for my daughter's cheerleading competition so limited time to get too fancy She's performing at Tropicana so not sure if there's much in there or nearby
one million times better than the rainforest cafe. If you can't go to one of the places we recommended, just eat an appetizer whereever you go and sneak off later for a gyro at Bills lol
Yes, almost anywhere is better than there. Dock's and Knife & Fork are both down that way. You can definitely sneak into Dock's later in the evening. If you're stuck at the Trop, I'd consider Ossu Asian Tavern or Carmine's.
Rainforest Cafe is a cool dining experience with the theme but imo the food is not good and overpriced. Hope you were able to go somewhere good last night someone said to skip the Gordan Ramsay restaurants but honestly I really like them. One the best meals I have ever had was at Gordon Ramsay Steak in Harrah's
Will forever think of this video whenever I hear the Rainforest Cafe mentioned haha. Really dug it as a kid though! Went to one at the Burlington mall in MA a couple times, but it closed in 2016 apparently
