I am making homemade pasta for the first time ever. I fear there is only one way for this to go and it is not positive. But I will do my best. It's calling for two room temp eggs and mine were in the fridge so I am currently trying to warm up eggs over my heater a little bit to bring them up to room temp before I crack them. Idk how important it is that they are room temp but if there's anything I've learned it is if I ever deviate even a little bit from a recipe there is significant failure involved. So here I am holding two eggs over the heater
Wife made chicken el pastor, with homemade pico. Was sublime: Edit: don’t know why this website picks and chooses when I can upload a full image now
Yeah, well, I boiled a pre-made bag of chicken and mushrooms in white wine sauce from Aldi with a side of microwaved frozen mixed vegetables. I'm gonna be the next Gordon Ramsey, I swear!
Does anyone want a code for a week of free Factor meals? I just paid $10 for shipping and got 8 meals. I wouldn’t pay full price but they’re not bad for that price and really convenient.
I tried to give away coupons on here before and only one person took em. I agree they’re decent if you can get em cheap. I would never pay full price though.
@bedwettingcosmo gets first dibs, but just wanted to throw out there that I am always down for a cheap and easy to cook meal lol
How did it turn out? I've never bothered with the letting my eggs come to room temperature when making pasta. If you let the dough rest, by the time you start rolling or extruding, the dough will have warmed enough.
It wasn't a complete disaster! It tasted good but texture wise I didn't roll the dough quite thin enough so the noodles were thicc lol.
Hadn't cooked anything out of the ordinary or interesting in a while, and been feeling meh lately so I used cooking as therapy this weekend and made some 'Korean' fried chicken and waffles. Turned out really good, though as always, I'd have done some things different / better. 1. It's eggo waffles as I don't have a waffle iron. I would have loved to have made scallion waffles but you do what you have to. 2. The fried chicken was buttermilk and gochujang / spice marinated, and then the sauce was a sweet, sticky, gochujang sauce I made. The chicken was great with the sauce, but a bit bland without so I'd add more spices next time to get into the interior of the chicken. Pretty happy with the fry texture... 3. Just a pretty standard slaw on top with kewpie mayo and rice wine vinegar.
Made this apple bread. Idk how to take aesthetic food pics. Was a bit stodgy in the middle but not bad
