Bacon Jalapeño Burger Truffled Cacio E Pepe. Bucatini, black truffle butter, garlic, parmesan, black pepper, parsley. Marinated steak as an add-on. American Wagyu Beef Burger. Red wine-onion jam, bleu cheese crumbles, thyme aioli, mustard.
Also please tell me they didn't grind up a perfectly good wagyu and that's just like... a steak on a bun
I’m by no means an expert and have no idea how quality the wagyu was. It said “American Wagyu” and was like $26, so I assume it’s not the true wagyu people think of or is mixed with something else. It was good though.
Tried a ChatGPT created Fettucini Alfredo sauce recipe last night and it was better than anything I've ever had. Wife was even shocked on how great it tasted.
Portland food pics. Flying back home today and going back to eating pre-made salad packs and sandwiches. Giant ribeye (I think 24oz) from a place called Sayler’s. They have a 72oz steak challenge with a plaque in the lobby showing how many people have attempted and succeeded. Carbonara from Grassa. There’s a couple of these in the area, and I’ve never been disappointed. Pappardelle w/ candied duck I got at a scotch lounge. It was good but overpriced considering the pasta at the place I mentioned above is just as good and half the price.
I think it’s at least worth a try; to me the “flavor” seems to hit stronger with wagyu than with any other kind of steak. A fattier, juicy flavor
I feel like I only ever eat steak when I'm at a fancy place so I'm always hesitant to try something I might not like as much as the ribeye since it's pricy
My town has a house made ice cream spot, and they have an award winning Carrot Cake ice cream with walnuts, graham cracker crust pieces, and cream cheese frosting. I just had it. Best ice cream I have ever had.
Saw a last minute contest to try out for Hillshire Farm's Lit'l Smokies, so gave that a shot tonight. Whole cranberry sauce w 5 tsp of fresh squeezed orange juice, heated with rosemary in a saucepan gently, remove the rosemary, putting a dab of the sauce in the 2in x 2in pastry, then a brick of brie cheese, the lit'l smokie, close it up with a toothpick and sprinkle with egg wash, cook 375 for 15-18 min, remove, add cranberry to toothpick and enjoy (using cranberry sauce for dipping, if desired).
Late night street truck food, chicken platter with spicy rice and more hot sauce on top. Really good but a little too spicy for me was able to get through only after downing like two water bottles
Just popping in to recommend breading your chicken in a blend of panko and instant mashed potatoes because this was the best chicken I’ve ever made
