still maintain that Popeye's has the best chicken sandwich out there. The Chicken Sandwich Wars were good because they spawned a lot of competitors, some of which were surprisingly good (BK and KFC come to mind) but Popeye's still reigns supreme
Every time I've tried to get a Popeye's chicken sandwich they didn't have any... and mind you this is after the madness of that initial release.
Shake shack is undefeated imo, especially their spicy, but I'll take popeyes next, and then give me wendy's for consistency and years of being there for me when no one else was.
man I'd have to go out and do another round of sampling but off the top of my head it's #1 - Popeye's #2-? - everything else There is a Shake Shack like 4 minutes down the road so I need to try that more how's that for a ranking
This recipe was super easy and absolutely fantastic (when I had a lot of rhubarb and strawberries to get rid of). I didn't bake them quite long enough as I think the pan was too deep so they didn't quite set, but they were still a huge hit at the party I took them too. Made some chicken parm-esque type dish. I used panko seasoned with cheddar, salt, and pepper. Fried the cutlets then in corn oil. The sauce I had tomato paste and fire roasted diced tomatoes in my cabinet so I just threw that in the blender with some garlic and Italian seasonings. The cheese was queso Blanco and parm shredded that went in the oven for about 15 min. I guess queso Blanco doesn't melt well but it tasted good. I got queso blanco randomly cuz my friend in Honduras was like you guys don't have those cheeses in the US so I proved her wrong and put good use to it lol
I'm going to try and make some lemon cookies. Pray 4 me. I got powdered sugar so I don't accidentally use pancake mix this time.
Made some homemade garlic knots, came out decent but it didn't seem like it was browning on the top as quickly so I left it in a little longer so they were slightly overcooked I think. Tasted good though and I was able to use the rest of the sauce from the other day
I was instructed to pick up butter crackers for a party and they kept asking if I knew what they were and I was like bro ill go to the store and look for whatever says butter crackers in the cracker section of the store okay??? I'll figure it out. And I get to the store and you're telling me they're just Ritz crackers?? Who actually calls them butter crackers? And also how actual dare they imply I wouldn't know what a Ritz cracker is.
Had the best pasta dish of my life at an Italian restaurant in Bermuda. Cacio e Pepe with truffle and lemon zest, flambéed tableside by the owner in a big Parmesan cheese wheel
