As if another artist would write a song about Ken's ego with lots of "clever' allusions to his cooking.
Made my Frasier cake. It's still in the oven. I felt like it was getting too full when I was pouring it in the pan but decided to trust the process. I should not have trusted the process. Thank gawd I put it on a cookie sheet with foil cause it's spilling everywhere smh
Okay to say this was a disaster is an understatement. I had to take the L. I just way overfilled the cake tin and it's never going to bake all the way through. Smh.
Okay another update, the part that overflowed onto the foil has inadvertently created some sort of cookie, so I guess I have that lol and that tasted decent at least.
will be watching immediately, but I wonder how much different it will be than The Pizza Show on YouTube and/or the pizza episode of Ugly Delicious
Here is the monstrosity I made yesterday. It was supposed to be a cream cheese pound cake. I think I have enough ingredients to try again. Sigh lol. I just started watching that Selena + Chef show on hbo and it gives me hope but yeah I have a lot of room for growth! Send help.
This is a weird hodgepodge of a meal that ended up working so well together. Argentinian inspired chicken - Chicken breast pieces I cooked under the oven broiler marinated in allspice, cumin, black pepper, onion/garlic powder, red pepper flakes, oregano, cilantro stems chopped finely, honey, half a lemon, and a healthy amount of EVOO. Topped with chimichurri made of parsley cilantro garlic and etc. Cuban inspired rice and beans. Just toasted the rice a lot with cumin at the end and added black beans, onion, carrot, cilantro. Then a tomato olive oil and salt purée because I have that as a snack. And olive tapenade I made. Also as a snack for lunch. let it be known all this stuff is everything I already had in-house and made it only because I didn’t have to go shopping over the weekend. A surprise gourmet Sunday dinner.
Pupusas are one of those perfect foods like pizza and burgers. I just ate pupusas. I need to eat more pupusas.
Pre-riot fest fancy brunch at Roister. Definitely some of the best food I’ve had in a while. The soup was incredible and the presentation was so cool.
Hit the Big E on saturday since this was like the one weekend my wife and I dont have plans for the next month. Was her first time going ever btw. Didn't get my usual pickles but we found some other giant ones in the VT building nearly the size of my forearm and they were amazing, ate a good amount and had a couple beers/hard ciders. Kinda wish I didn't live 2.5 hrs away because I felt like I needed another two days there to eat all the stuff I wanted to try without going into a food coma. I think we're gonna try the Deerfield Fair in NH in a few weeks too if we can.
