I've tried the triple cheeseburger with krispie kremes as buns at the fair and it was not great. We had a regional fair where I grew up and the food was really bomb, fry bread tacos and bison burgers were staples. It seems like they all hire the same vendors now and all county fairs near me have exactly the same food. Speaking of which I ending up entering the baking contest at the fair but didn't win a ribbon. I think pumpkin bread was a little too basic, I'm entering my rhubarb bread next time. Here's my submission for the quick bread competition:
Do ya'll remember during that time there was like a weird mosquito-borne infection going on? It was called triple e I think? But I think CRJ played like a much abbreviated set because of concerns about that. They had all those signs on the highway warning people to not stay out after dark. @waking season you're added to the list for the food thread meetup.
Also, we tried a new Indian place last night and it was jut bland, like things weren't seasoned right, which is the worst crime Indian food can commit I think.
I went to school like 20 mins from the Big E and never went. Now I'm only like an hour and a half away and I've still never been! I do usually go to the Deerfield fair in NH every year, though, but not since before Covid now. Hopefully that changes this year
This is kinda food related but my gf bought that Mountain Dew flaming hot whatever and I took one sip and have had heart burn all day from it. Fucking thing sucks.
i had come to this restaurant about a month ago and scoffed when i saw a pb&j burger.. then this thread talked about a couple days ago and i decided to come back and try it lol not!! scoffing anymore
Did someone say big e? My favorite thing there (after cheese curds) is the smoked salmon on a stick lol also enjoy the collage of Big E Matt over the years
