It just crossed my mind that rolling up an already cooked burrito and then air frying for a couple minutes to dry the tortilla shut and to get it all crispy like a taquito might be brilliant?
went back home for a few days, had to load up on Buffalo food while I could. Kelly’s Korner is the best. Bar Bill is always solid.
!! Hell yes. Bar Bill is gunna be the next wing spot I try when I'm back in Buffalo. I'm partial to Elmo's but they're a little inconsistent with quality
Elmo’s is definitely a solid northtowns spot, love that they do a double dip. Bar Bill is just always so solid and the Cajun honey butter bbq is great.
Made pizzas last night and tried a chicken tikka masala one after seeing it on IG from somewhere. Very happy with it
Partook in a cookbook club and the first book we chose was Hailee Catalano’s By Heart. I did the celery root pierogis and earl grey French silk pie and both were fabulous. Every recipe was fantastic, I can’t recommend her book enough!
Beautiful work! Hailee Catalano is one of my biggest cooking inspirations right now. My bolognese + salad a few posts back is from a video of her and Chuck's
messing around to figure out what combination of meats would be on my ideal Italian sub and after a couple weekends of this I think I’ve landed on genoa, soppressata, and prosciutto
Sharing this recipe because I am eating it now and it’s delicious (and easy). Only changes I made were that I added squash and then I also added red pepper flakes and like a teaspoon of balsamic vinegar to the sauce. The Best Vegetarian Lasagna Ever
Friends had a medieval/fantasy/ren faire themed bday party, and I had to share these beautiful cakes. First one is a vanilla & fudge cake that was ordered. Second one is a raspberry cheesecake that my friend made.
I need to clean my stove, too. My chrome drip bowls got so black from smoke that I straight up threw them away and ordered new ones from Amazon for an apartment inspection because no amount of barkeepers friend helped lol
Thought this might be the best thread to ask. I’m going to Hawaii (Honolulu specifically) in July for my sister’s wedding and then spending a week out there. Any good food spots I should hit up? Hawaiian food is one of my faves, but I’m not sure what the best/notable spots are. For further guidance, I love a good, classic plate lunch and I really love poke. Also open to any coffee recommendations as well.
Made musakhan (sumac chicken) for the first time last night with cucumber salad and turmeric rice (not traditional). I know it typically calls for roasted pine nuts, but fuck...why are they so expensive? Toasted some slivered almonds instead--still good.
