I had seen a comment that made some sense. The theory is that Josh likely signed on as a payroll/annual salary with them. Given his pedigree, he would most likely be on some sort of annual salary with a cut of a major tour perhaps. The thought was that they simply didn't want to pay an additional salary since they aren't heavily touring with that sort of revenue. That is what made the most sense to me once I had read it because arbitrarily letting him go for the hell of it, certainly seems unprofessional given who he is and how well respected he is.
