Interesting. I hadn't seen them live with Josh, but he's well respected as a drummer so this seems strange.

He might be the most notable touring rock drummer of all time. I wonder who Dave Grohl has in mind to take his spot.

If it ain't Taylor's son, this doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

I really doubt they're bringing Shane aboard if they sent him such a cryptic message to let him go. I feel like that's something they'd just say to him, and he would totally understand. Still wild to consider that he'd never been let go from a band or project until now.

Just realized you're the same Kyle Adams who landed on my suggested feed on IG a couple of weeks ago and whom I recently followed. Love your work, dude, those Gretsch tubs are amazing, and you beat the hell out of them beautifully.

    Might be Spider-Man...

There's been so much smoke with them and Rufus Taylor.

I know he's in The Darkness, but anything can happen at the drop of a dime.

Adding in, Rufus Taylor knows Dave, the band, was rumored before, and oh yeah was Taylor Hawkins protege.

Keep an eye on him or Jay Weinberg, or maybe Frank Ferrer who recently left GnR. Dave loves that guy.

Tim Heidecker has the top comment and it's great

Dave’s voice in that recent Coachella vid wasn’t great, but guess he’ll get better with more shows back. I only say that because I guess it’s not impossible that he could drum again?!

    I’m probably chatting shit.

IDK hasn't Dave's been pretty consistent with getting bandmembers that have some sort of punk roots? (outside the keyboardist but he was a touring member for a decade++).

Saw Foo Fighters 3 times with Josh. Milwaukee for Harley Davidson festival was my first time seeing them without Taylor. Big shoes to fill… but damn Josh blew me away. He was part of the reason I went out of my way to see them twice after that. Dude is a menace behind the kit. Not familiar with much of the guys mentioned above in the comments but I was bummed finding this out. It’s always a fun rock n roll show with the Foo but I thought Josh elevated them even more. We shall see who they bring in.

    England.

Dave wasn’t happy being the second best drummer in the band! I joke, of course.
