Can't remember if I've said this before but I see them doing a Taylor tribute in their shows going forward, similar to how Springsteen pays* tribute to Clarence Clemons every show with the E Street Band.

*Or at least last I heard he's still doing it, I could be wrong.

 

this brings me so much bittersweet happiness, and hope for their future. i'm so elated to see them continuing on and eagerly wait with anticipation for what they do, and who they become, next.

I'm curious who's gonna be drumming for them. I assume either Josh Freese or Rufus Taylor.

I honestly think its Rufus. Dude looks like him, plays like him, and his dad is Queen royalty. What better way to honor Taylor?

If it helps, The Offspring are in Europe at the end of May while The Darkness have no tour dates planned after their co-headliner with Black Stone Cherry ends next month.

 

wonder if they are doing festivals this year then a full blown tour in 2024

Pantera (such as that iteration of the band is still Pantera) probably got shitcanned because of Anselmo being a huge racist

 

It's not confirmed to have been about Anselmo but it's pretty likely yes.

They weren’t even playing the days foo got added to tho so…. Foo are playing Friday ring and park Sunday. Pantera was originally scheduled to play ring Saturday and park Friday

the 2 have nothing to do with each other as a bunch of other bands where added as well not just the foo fighters

 

Great drummer, but being a Taylor doppelgänger works against him in my mind. It's just a constant reminder.
