"The Sky Is The Neighborhood" sounds like it could have been written by ID, but without the EDM stadium pop elements. In terms of hook and song structure, especially
Yeah, I figured that was the one. More akin to the first Imagine Dragons album than their later, poppier stuff probably, but I can see the parallel between that and something like "Radioactive."
I love Greg Kurstin as a pop producer and in The Bird and The Bee. But yeah, "C&G" didn't seem to get a lot of whole spark from him (I still think "Run," "Make It Right" and "La Dee Da" slap live). Those first three albums are three of my favorites of all time. TINTL seems so effortless after all they went through with TCATS. But I feel like something fell off with them during all the tribulation of OBO that they've played it pretty safe since then, with some great singles keeping them in the conversation. I hope this gets them on track.
I just watched the live performance of Shame and listened to the studio version again. Unfortunately, the song just sounds unfinished and like they were just jamming to the beat and decided to call it done.
Saw this at Casa Vega in Sherman Oaks, CA. They had the Fall Out Boy taco last month but no info about what that meant. This banner details what I assume the FOB taco also was. Pretty cool!
