The Colour and the Shape There is Nothing Left to Lose Foo Fighters Wasting Light One by One In Your Honor Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace Sonic Highways Medicine at Midnight Concrete & Gold
Revisiting S/T again today. I can't help but think of it as the older brother that walked so There Is Nothing Left To Lose could run. Dammit. 1990's Foo Fighters were really something special huh?
I can't get over how different the video and single version of Next Year sounds. It's like it is sped up or something. And there's definitely background vocals present that I don't recall on the album version.

Took me 3 days but I finished another discography run. As great as songs like Run, Sky is a Neighborhood and T Shirt are, I'm now realizing how forgettable the rest of the album is. Echos also wasnt as great as I remember it, and One by One is much better than I remember. Still think Sonic Highways is their only "bad" album though.
Man..someone had recommended watching the 2021 MSG show. I’m on it now and it’s hitting me in all the feels.
I saw them open with that in 2014 in a similar fashion, but the circumstances surrounding this show make it that much more awe inspiring.
I think their Times Like These performance for the recent inauguration was great. For the first in my life....I got chills watching an inauguration performance lol.
As a Letterman fan, it always meant a lot to me how much he loved the Foo Fighters and “Everlong.” He flew them up from South America to play it for his return show from a heart attack and it’s just one of the best performances.
I've always loved this performance because of Pat's little pick slide 'Solo' about at the 4:37 mark. Even he was like "idk" haha.
Wasting Light One by One There's Nothing Left To Lose Foo Fighters/Colour and Shape - Interchangeable on any given day Medicine at Midnight Concrete & Gold In Your Honor Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace Sonic Highways Definitely in minority with my placement of Medicine at Midnight, but I really dig the musicianship on it and I think it's their most consistent album front to back compared to the others that are below it.
Interesting post. Is there an industry that’s path has been more altered by premature (unnatural) loss of life than the music industry.
I'm watching this tribute they did to Tom Petty awhile back and it's one of the most kickass things I've ever seen. Everyone in the band really shines. Shiflett is such an underrated guitarist.
Guested on Records Revisited this week to talk about There Is Nothing Left to Lose! Foo Fighters Sidecast Part Three – There is Nothing Left to Lose
