Yeah Ilan is definitely coming out as the better fit for the group. I think the thing is, Josh is a fantastic drummer (one of my faves for sure), but he’s basically the Swiss Army knife of drummers. He’ll basically do what’s needed to get the job done and leaves it at that, really. Ilan has his own personal style though, and his high-energy flare kind of matches what Taylor did. I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s what made Dave choose him. (I also think him being able to pull off backing vocals was a key too) I still think the way Josh was booted sucks, but Ilan was a good call. The bright side of it too, is we now live in a timeline where Josh is in NIN and APC again. So I’m not complaining
I watched their Amazon concert after the football game on Thursday, and it seemed like Chris and Nate did most backing vocals, but Ilan did have some as well.
Dave did say during the live stream Thursday that they plan on playing more club shows. So it’s a possibility
Granted tickets have only been on sale for five days - and the show is nine months out - but there are a loooooot of tickets available for the Cleveland date. Probably more than half. Definitely gonna hold off buying tickets for this as I'm guessing tickets will be far cheaper closer to the date.
They were doing ballparks on their last tour, 2 nights in some cities, so this doesn't seem like THAT much of a jump into NFL stadiums.
I was speaking of Cleveland specifically. They’ve never played a ballpark here, typically Cavs arena (20K) so the jump to an NFL stadium (70K), in a market that has very few stadium shows, is a substantial jump.
Same. After seeing Green Day play “Dookie” and “American Idiot” in the pit last year, I’m satisfied with stadium shows for a while. Too expensive for my blood at the moment.
New trend I'm seeing is these videos all having something like this: MERO Estudios: https://www.meroestudio.tv/ Animation Team: Sebastian Escobar Hoyos and Victor Londoño Tayack And you can scroll through their past work, looks like a studio that only recently started using AI based on their instagram (why? their past reels look cool). I've seen this quite a bit recently.
