These tickets are probably going to be $9999999 but they are the last big rock band that I'm a fan of that I still haven't seen so I need to finally make that happen
Listened. As with every album cycle since after Wasting Light I am more supportive of what the Foos represent in terms of rock music than their actual songs.
I feel like referring to having a baby with a 19-year-old behind your family's backs only as an "affair" is somewhat downplaying it, lol
Woah - news to me and thanks for the correction. Where was it being reported that she was a teenager? I could have sworn that was a big part of why it seemed extra not-good.
It's a tale as old as time, so it's natural to assume that. There actually was a pregnant teenager who the internet wrongfully identified as being his mistress.
Honestly, I think it was just made up by people that don’t like Dave and wanted to take him down a peg. I get the affair and child souring people on him and that’s a valid reason to not like him. But it seems like a lot of people that didn’t like him before have used this as ammo to really tear into him.
Everyone was quick to forget that he spends so much time working in food kitchens for the homeless. Morally that far outweighs the fact he cheated on his wife (and a child was born as a result), which I don't care about in the least anyway as his lack of decency in that department is of no consequence to me.
i wonder if dave pulls double duty drumming for QOTSA. i doubt it bc QOTSA’s lineup has been stable for like a decade now but would be interesting
I could see him joining them for a song or two. But no way would he do two full sets Maybe they could pull out a TCV song
Agreed. They have a full-time drummer who’s great and FF are likely gonna be playing 2+ hours, if they play their usual sets. I love the lineup, but think I’m out on stadium tours. FF has already been a greatest hits live band for a long time. No way that changes with these huge venues.
Big time wasting light vibes. Yes, it feels very loud – had to turn it down on Apple Music, which speaks more to me being old balls than anything else. But the rhythm in the groove is there.
I'm in the presale queue for shits n giggles, mainly to see about pricing. I could see resale tickets being super cheap leading up to this. 1,200 people in front of me.
Yeah, I'm gonna look for presale closer to the date. Pretty much any lower level/decent seat was $200 plus. Only tickets under $100 were 6 miles away with your back to the wall.
No slight towards Josh, but I think Illan fits the band so much better. Been a big fan of his drumming for years.
