I like the acoustic side of IYH more than the electric. Seems like they were straining to fit a few of the "electric" songs. I also think that, with a bit of editing, "A Cold Day In The Sun" could have been on the electric side and a distortion-less "Resolve" could have been on the acoustic side.
This is the single-disc version of In Your Honor I concocted 5-6 years ago: EDIT: Would definitely add the title track to this if I did it now.
Acoustic disc of IYH is great. First disc is very solid too. Title track into "No Way Back" into "Best of Me" is a crazy run
I do not like "Virginia Moon." "Still" is good, but I like "Razor" better as an opener and recall feeling like "Still" didn't fit anywhere else in the sequence.
That middle section of acoustic IYH is just a repetitive snoozefest to me: “Over and Out,” “Friend of a Friend,” “Another Round” - not a fan. I feel like it picks up with “On The Mend” and has a lot more variety with the last 3 songs. It’s like Dave realized an acoustic album didn’t mean it has to be sparse and slow.
1. There Is Nothing Left To Lose 2. The Colour & The Shape 3. Wasting Light 4. Foo Fighters 5. One By One 6. Echoes, Silence, Patience, and Grace 7. But Here We Are 8. Concrete & Gold 9. In Your Honor 10. Medicine At Midnight 11. Sonic Highways I remember being so incredibly let down by In Your Honor. I was HYPED when I heard the Foo had a double album on the way. And Best of You was such a killer lead single. I thought I was gonna get the 2000's version of Mellon Collie or something. Just a double rock album full of bangers, ballads, different tempos and arrangements that all hit the spot. Unfortunately, In Your Honor just didn't do it for me. Too many throw away tracks on both discs. First time I struggled to make it beginning to end on a FF album. I felt like Dave started to get too screamy too often. And the acoustic disc was all too much of the same slow, dull crap. Like, I thought Taylor's song was a highlight on that disc because all the others sounded alike. I think One By One is miles better than In Your Honor, but a lot of people seem to consider it a bad FF album. I'll never understand people's beef with One By One.
One By One has aged really well. At one point I was disappointed in it but now I think it’s pretty terrific. i really like Burn Away and Comeback and nobody ever mentions those….
Yeah, I wasn’t the biggest fan of it, but came around to it. I like the Million Dollar Demos of it. My biggest gripe is “Tired of You” is pretty repetitive and a total waste of Brian May.

Foo Fighters latest IG post has pics of recording equipment and a guitar which was taken this year so look like we r getting an new album announcement soon
They are celebrating 30 years as a band and have been posting a lot of stuff recently. They also dropped this yesterday. Instrumentals were recorded 30 years ago. Vocals recorded earlier this year
They've been counting each individual everyday (though I think they rushed through the last three or four) culminating with that post today. Agreed that it's either a new album, single or tour or all.
