I mean Dave doesn't exactly have the best track record with replacing drummers in a tactful way. Look at how he treated William Goldsmith
It makes sense if it’s Taylor’s son even tho he’s only 18. But if it’s Taylor’s son you’d think they’d tell that to Josh and he’d have no hard feelings.
So weird. Wonder if they're going with Taylor's son or the Darkness drummer. Those are the only two drummers that make sense in my mind. Josh is like, THE guy that logically made the most sense.
Wonder if Dave got in his head that he wants to play longer shows and in order to do that, he wants someone younger and with more endurance. Not saying Josh doesn't have that, but perhaps since Taylor died from drugs and Josh is a similar age to Dave (and most importantly Taylor), it got in his head he needed someone younger to play drums
Maybe but if it's not Shane Hawkins then what other youngish.. like 30's to 40's will be available to take on this gig?!
Shane Hawkins as Josh's replacement would feel very "let's create a wholesome, heart-warming narrative to help bury my recent misdeed."
If Shane was going to drum for them, I feel like they would’ve told Josh and his reception would’ve been more understanding.
Not here to defend Dave, but Foo Fighters is a group of people and I don't know any of them personally so I'm not gonna pass judgement here lol
I mean, it was clear Josh had a passion for the songs and the band. He would post clips of him inserting fills and references to other songs in his drumming. I think Tim’s just being Tim. Either way, yeesh, this is an ugly mess and I hope they all can get it sorted out. Dave just can’t seem to let anyone go properly.
