Fuck it: Wasting Light The Colour and the Shape There is Nothing Left to Lose Foo Fighters But Here We Are One By One Echoes, Silence, Patience, Grace In Your Honor Medicine at Midnight Concrete and Gold Sonic Highways One By One, Echoes and In Your Honor could probably all be interchangeable. All three have tremendous highlights but also some major lows.
Only listened once and I can't formulate too strong an opinion based on that, but I've had the chorus hook to Show Me How in my head all day. I'm a sucker for that sort of hooky dreaminess, and I've always preferred that restrained, soft side of Dave's voice.
There Is Nothing Left To Lose The Colour And The Shape But Here We Are Wasting Light Echoes, Silence, Patience, & Grace In Your Honor Foo Fighters Medicine At Midnight One By One Sonic Highways Concrete & Gold TINLTL has such a cool summer nights vibe. My favorite mode of theirs by far. TCATS really lives and dies by the singles for me, but they are so incredible that I almost don't mind the fact that there are a few album tracks I don't care for that much. But Here We Are and Wasting Light are both later-career albums that sound totally reinvigorated. I'm more emotionally invested in the new one, hence why I'm giving it the edge, but they're both great sets of songs. I'm a huge sucker for the second half of Echoes. Them veering more in a '70s Laurel Canyon direction works so well for me. In Your Honor would be such a killer single-disc album. As is, it has some bloat, but I love that acoustic disc and the electric disc has some of their best songs. I'm probably committing blasphemy putting the self-titled record that low, but I've never totally clicked with that one the way a lot of fans have. Maybe because I heard a lot of their other albums before going back to the debut? Really loved Medicine At Midnight when it came out. It doesn't hold up quite as well as I thought it would, especially in light of the new one, but there are some heaters on there. Love "Making a Fire" and "Cloudspotter" especially. One By One was at the bottom for me for a long time, but it's grown on me recently. Still kind of bummed that's what came after TINLTL though. I feel like they had something better in them at that particular juncture in their career. Sonic Highways has such a cool concept that it doesn't quite deliver on, but I still like it a lot. It just doesn't have any truly top-tier Foos songs. Concrete & Gold really has never done anything for me, despite many attempts to enjoy it. Really felt like they were running out of steam on that one, which is part of the reason I got so excited about very genuinely enjoying Medicine at Midnight.
this is super close to how I’d rank them. I’d probably have One by One and the debut one slot higher each. Rest looks right

I'm just glad they ditched the background vocalists. That never felt right. But I'm all for Violet filling in on the songs that Shifty can't cover as well as Taylor did, such as Rope and Shame, Shame.
anyone with disenchanted at 142 simply hasn’t listened to that chorus looking at the full thing, so many full discography rankings should just be 10 songs, the 10 is almost always correct and everything else is batshit
