I can’t believe there are people who don’t like In the Clear, Burn Away, and Comeback subterranean blows
I'm not gonna rank anything, but for me Colour and Wasting Light are at the tippy top, Concrete is the bottom, and everything else is in the middle. All their albums have great stuff.
I don't think they have a bad album. Concrete & Gold is probably their worst and even that is just mid. Sonic Highways is unfairly maligned and so is One by One apparently!? Don't really understand disliking that one.
run, la dee da, dirty water, arrows, sunday rain and the title track are all better than anything on sonic highways
s/t there is nothing left to lose colour and the shape wasting light don’t really listen to any of the other foos records. new one’s shaping up to be worth ranking tho
When I listen to One By One, I usually make a playlist that’s like the first 4 songs, “The One”, and then some of the covers; “Sister Europe”, “Danny Says”…whatever the killing joke song they did was I have no memory of Disenchanted Lullaby off the top of my head, and I’m sure I’ve listened to it dozens of times
GREAT There is Nothing Left to Lose Self-Titled The Colour and the Shape GOOD In Your Honor Sonic Highways Wasting Light SOLID Echoes, Silence, Patience, and Grace Concrete & Gold Medicine at Midnight BAD W/ THREE GREAT SINGLES One By One One thing we can all agree on, this band truly captured magic on TINLTL.
Not that it counts as a proper album, but it’s a shame “Medium Rare” isn’t on streaming because it’s prime bbq music and the Foos do some phenomenal covers.
