Dave's right, it's just a very boring and bland record with three of their best songs/singles on it

for sure. it's splitting hairs between a band's 7th best album and their 9th best haha

 

I can’t believe there are people who don’t like In the Clear, Burn Away, and Comeback

subterranean blows

 

in the clear and burn away are good, comeback and subterranean are terrible

 

Feel like we’re dangeously close to a ranking

 

I can really only rank my top three (TCATS, WL, IYH) and the last one (SH)

I'm not gonna rank anything, but for me Colour and Wasting Light are at the tippy top, Concrete is the bottom, and everything else is in the middle. All their albums have great stuff.

 

I don't think they have a bad album. Concrete & Gold is probably their worst and even that is just mid. Sonic Highways is unfairly maligned and so is One by One apparently!? Don't really understand disliking that one.

 

Concrete and Gokd is EASILY last

When I listen to One By One, I usually make a playlist that’s like the first 4 songs, “The One”, and then some of the covers; “Sister Europe”, “Danny Says”…whatever the killing joke song they did was

I have no memory of Disenchanted Lullaby off the top of my head, and I’m sure I’ve listened to it dozens of times

 

Switch numbers one and two around and this is exactly how I feel.

One thing we can all agree on, this band truly captured magic on TINLTL.

 

TINLTL def has the best vibes, cant beat bbq summer rock

 

i definitely think s/t is better but it’s splitting hairs, both 5* records along with TCATS

 

Not that it counts as a proper album, but it’s a shame “Medium Rare” isn’t on streaming because it’s prime bbq music and the Foos do some phenomenal covers.

 

I will forever be frustrated that my favourite Foo song A320 isn't on streaming

 

Absolutely. One of the best.
