I do love this record but I’m definitely much more of a Vein fan.

I do wish more turntables were more prominent in This World Is Going To Ruin You (Benno left after the record came out in 22) but I love that record so much. Big fan of how it came out and wish it pushed the band to the next level.

Between that record failing to do that and how big Fleshwater is getting? I bet we don’t get another Vein record for another two years minimum. Big sad.

Yeah I like the last vein album way more than this, but this is still good

Vein clears 132,241 monthly listeners on Spotify.. but Fleshwater clears over 4x of that with 564,266 monthly listeners.. sheesh

Fun fact: Stephen from Koyo is doing merch for Fleshwater on this tour.

When I saw him - I immediately told him that Would You Miss It? is easily one of the best pop punk records I’ve ever heard in the last 15 years. He was super appreciative and I tipped him 30% for a shirt. Really hope that band gets bigger - they deserve it!

The back half of the recent Vein album was perfect. Like I saw others say it was channeling a little bit of Far/early Deftones.

It’s only a minute long song so this might come off as over analyzing but the production sucks and I already feel the loss of Matt Wood no longer playing drums for them.

If I listen to Standalone and then something like Razor’s Apple - I hear the differences in quality in both areas. I guess that makes sense since Standalone is self produced and their record was produced by the almighty Kurt Ballou. Here’s to hoping they don’t go down the self producing road for the next record.

Last time I saw Vein it was Fleshwater man behind the kit. I want new Vein way more than I want new Fleshwater but obviously they are blowing up, and now Vein is down to two OG members, so I totally get the priorities.

nice to see Matt in a new band though, going to give a listen later

Yeah, I believe he’s completely removed from all projects with them. I also assume that Vein is pretty much dead given how well Fleshwater is doing which bums me out big time..
