Vein actually opened for Fleshwater before I would have killed to see that

Everyone should check out Matt Wood’s (the previous drummers) new band Dream Fatigue, they are VERY similar

  3. Same drummer who was in Vein as well?

This thing goes off. Each listen is hitting more and more. Sundown is so good

Good album. Would still rather Vein be the group's primary focus, but I'll take it.

    Cool record

  11. I liked the debut, but this is hitting harder more immediately for me. Really cool record

    hmmm

I like her voice but I don't vibe with her melodies at all; aimless and unmemorable despite clearly straining for emotional impact. The guy's vocals are completely unnecessary — the absolute death to any excitement on this.

Some cool riffs but that's about it. Be Your Best and Silverine are dirge.

I don’t understand the complaints about Anthony’s vocals, it’s a nice contrast and he’s on like 10% of the record

I thought he was brutal on the last album, I think he's used well on this

He's definitely better than he was on the last album, his parts just still stand out as the weakest part of the record.

I don't mind him so much when he has small parts on some of the earlier songs but whenever he takes lead it just feels like it tanks the potential of the song a bit. Which is a bit disappointing when that's 20% of the track list, including the closer.

He's not awful, I just don't think he's very good either and everything else about the band is great.

Maybe I’m in the minority here but I thought outside of a few tracks (Jerome, Sundown, and Endless Sky) that this was pretty forgettable for me.

At this point; I just want new Vein. This was a cool project but I’m ready for Vein and would love if Matt Wood could mend things with Anthony and the dudes to at least return for that.

He’s doing his own bands but just posted the FW record on his IG story the other day. Seems like they’re probably on decent terms. Doubt we will ever hear more about it because they’re a private group (nice change of pace tbh)

I mean it hasn't really been THAT long since Vein's last album, don't really see the problem in some of them doing 2 albums for this in the meantime, the first album coming out the same year as Vein's last one. I like Vein's stuff more overall but I'm enjoying getting more music in general from some of them, Vein has time to come back in full force (would be nice if Matt came back too)

strictly musically speaking as evidenced by this album I think this band can work without Matt but I don't think that Vein can
