It’s cool, I like that it sounds less “nu”….a little worried because Matt was so essential to this band’s sound but we’ll see

  10. This is cool. Wish it was a little heavier -- feels a little more in line with like, RFC 2010s grunge-revival stuff than the first album -- but I'll check it out for sure. Cool guitar tones

big '10s rfc sound to it for me too. Not a bad thing at all though. Opening 25 seconds could fit perfectly in a Fiddlehead song.

I don’t think the new track sounds that much different than any of their other stuff but I did partially get moments of Adventures in there. Good song, looking forward to the album and hopefully some Vein soon after

    idk man

Secretly hoping (but keeping expectations low) that vein.fm serves as the first opener for the fleshwater tour

Solid track...definitely hoping for some big grooves on the album where they bring a bit more of the heavy though.

i adore their videos so much. this band more than any that i've fallen in love with recently know exactly what they want their image to be and i admire it. i think their image is a big reason why they broke out too. very alluring.

  19. I understand what you're saying but it's kind of funny when that image is Windows 98 CD-ROM artwork lol

  20. Eric Richter was behind vein.fm's videos as well. Love his style so much.

  21. Ngl I'm already really bored of the Deftones inspired crop of bands that have popped up in the last decade but a couple things stand out with them, on this song at least. For one, I love how LOUD she gets with her vocals. There's none of that moaning shit, not that I don't like it but it can quickly feel stale as everyone tries to emulate Chino these days.

There's also an added element of chaos, the guitars have that dissonant quality. The production helps as it all sounds like it's going to fall apart at any second.
