I think they've made up to some degree with the whole Buckingham Nicks release. Hopefully it has been a healing process for them and they can move past the last 8 or so years of estrangement. There were rumours that Lindsey was in the crowd a few days back when she debuted Angel for the first time since 1983. If you'd have asked me a few months back if Lindsey would get back up on stage with Stevie again it would have been 0%. Now I feel much more positive he might join her for Landslide at least.
I think there’s a good chance we get one more tour with both of them. I just wonder if they call it Fleetwood Mac or bill it as Buckingham Nicks out of respect for Christine. I can’t see them leaving Mick out though.
I think it all depends on whether Mick and John are involved. No doubt Mick would be all over it, but John has kept himself out of the spotlight since the last tour—and he did lose his wife. To quote Stevie when we saw her on tour: “He hasn’t been in a good place since his wife passed, to the point he cut a lot of people out until he was well past it.” She mentioned she was going to call him after the tour, and I’ve wondered since how that went, but I haven’t found anything about it online. Fleetwood Mac did tour without Christine for a long time, but obviously things are different now with her passing. That said, I’d definitely take a Buckingham Nicks tour.
I said Christine not so much because I don’t think they could pull it off without her, just that Stevie said they would retire the name after Christine passed. But “time makes you bolder” as it goes so as they process their grief I’m sure she could change her mind. Wasn’t thinking about John, so that’s a good point too. Could easily see Buckingham Nicks with Mick on drums. I really don’t care how it’s billed I’d just like to finally see Stevie and Lindsey on stage together haha
