Fleet Foxes Shore Crack-Up Helplessness Blues some great songs on the middle two obviously but this is the first time they've really wowed me since the first album. i thought HB was a pretty sizable disappointment, but it also came at a time when I thought nearly every big followup was a sizable disappointment so maybe 2010/11 me was just an asshole.
Helplessness Blue is easily their best album imo. I'm gonna try and give this one more time to grow on me than Crack Up though, maybe it'll just take a while.
Had a chance and finally listened to it during sunrise at the Airbnb my wife and I stayed at in the smoky mountains and I’m all about it. Left and played all the ride home at least 4 times. Played Crack Up in between and they are so so great back to back. Sunny and perfect
still listen to this once a day and still tear up every time at that beautiful Berman tribute "Young Man's Game" is steadily becoming one of my favourite songs this year
Highly recommend from the new solo album from Skyler Skjelset. It's like Fleet Foxes mixed with Beach House.
There's also the 4 track White Antelope album that came out in like 2009 or something. Just for anyone who might not be aware. Silver Dagger is incredible.
Triple posting but this is a GOD tier Robin track as well. One of the best things he's ever written IMO.
