By far the least catchy, least accessible album of theirs. Not coincidentally, the most experimental and most challenging as well. These are all good things.
Yeah, it's not as catchy and I probably won't play it as often, but it's a really cool full album experience.

I've never listened to a Fleet Foxes album. It sounds like this one might not be a good starting point, which one should I go with?
Definitely listen in order. I honestly can't imagine anybody listening to any of their albums and disliking them
Start here: Edit: Just realized you said "album." I'd start at the beginning like others have said, but you can't go wrong either way.
Fun fact about me: I didn't like the debut when it came out and didn't start liking it until after HB came along and hit me like a ton of bricks.
