I just listened to Gospel for the first time in years on a drive home from the city with a high school friend, just a fantastic album. Oh, Common Life never stuck but seeing the love for it in here is making me think I'll take some time soon to circle back to it. That being said, "Oh, Common Life" the song is an absolute masterpiece.
This is a band that got better with every release. Gospel and, especially Oh, Common Life got me through some stuff. Some of the stuff is dark, but listening to them puts me in a good place.
I still want those Oh Common Life Sessions on a 7". Hell it would be nice to even have them available on streaming services.
My Release Radar came up with a song from, what I assumed, was Fireworks (Artist said Fireworks)... Turns out the band is called The Fireworks instead on closer inspection. Spotify unintentionally trolled me gawddammit
Spotify playing with our hearts today. Please come back. Gospel has aged better than any album that came out around the same time. Listen and Forgive, Suburbia, etc. Gospel is the one that will be remembered.
going to give this band a try sometime this weekend, I've been listening to more pop punk so maybe it will help them click
Arrows hooks you in immediately, have fun man, i wish i could hear that album again for the first time.
I haven't listened to Gospel or OCL in forever. Used to love the second one in particular, but for whatever reason the band hasn't stuck much with me
