It's almost been a year since they released Demitasse. Gotta think Covid really wrecked whatever they had planned, and if they're moving forward, it's just with a "screw it, let's put it out there" attitude.
JJR threatened people when they wanted to out Harry Corrigan for being a creep, Jason said on page 3 that he thinks Fireworks are still tight with JJR, mentioned Dave (lead singer) posted a photo to IG stories being buddies with JJR. So nothing 100% concrete that you can go look up, but nothing helping their case either.
This band is getting close to perfection. Can't wait for them to announce this project fully, and totally okay with the amount of time they're taking if it's gonna be this good.
So ready for new music. This is one of my most hyped records. Also, I watched the documentary where those snakes clips come from during undergrad and it’s wiiiiiild. Lol
Is Twitter the best place to stay updated on the band? Don’t want to miss news of a preorder or anything like that.
what is this band doing, why that teaser so far ahead of whatever else is coming? Am I gonna have to change the thread to TBA 2021?
Was just thinking their form of promotion for this has been so strange, I'd love to know what they're thinking.
I wonder if there was some sort of major crisis that derailed just about everybody's plans, that may have occurred sometime between the OP and now
https://audiomack.com/under-the-gun-review/album/cant-hardly-wait-ep Been listening to these old demos in the meantime to keep myself entertained. Early versions of songs off the first two EPs and two songs that never saw the light of day outside of this.
I don't remember if it was James Shotwell or I that uploaded this copy, but thank you for reminding me to dig out the files to add to my current library. They've been tucked away on my middle school hard drive since at least 2014.
I'll try to upload some other Fireworks rarities this weekend. Looks like I have the 2006 cassette and 2008 split in the same directory. If it's not streaming anywhere official, I'll throw it up on Audiomack and/or YouTube.
Dan Campbell was on the Mark Hoppus radio show today and said that the album was coming out this year. Nothing more than that but it gives me hope we will hear this thing in the next 2 months. Also Mark had never heard of Fireworks so hopefully he's a fan now.
Seems weird for someone from a different band to reveal another bands' album is being released in a few months, but I hope it's accurate!
