Demitasse came out in 2019. I've only played it like 10 times cause I don't want to wear it out for when it's on LP4 It better be on LP4 because I've been holding off for nothing then.
1.) I still hold Gospel as the Dude Ranch of the 2010’s. 2.) Arrows is still one of the best music videos of all time. 3.) I’m forever grateful we got the full recording of Oh, Common Life. 4.) A Fireworks album in 2023 would be amazing.
People really do forget this band existed before Gospel… Anyway a January release for LP4 would be amazing
Most of that isn’t that great. Pretty generic for that time period. Probably could have been bigger if they had the Man Overboard gimmick
oh yeah, the band improved significantly for Gospel don’t get me wrong, but there are definitely some great tracks across their early ep’s and first album. Plus the Bonfires EP is all killer
I barely bothered with that song they uploaded to twitter cause I wanted it to still be fresh when I had the whole album. Lmao
Surprised if it really comes out a month from now. I guess the 9 years between albums and not being active for most of that is the appropriate amount of pre-release hype, ha. Seriously, I’ll just be here patiently waiting for whenever.
Run For Cover would be a great fit for them if the new album is going for the Oh Common Life (song) / Demitasse / more experimental sound. I’m trying to not burn out this clip but I keep coming back to it - love the imagery too.
Pre-Gospel is actually my favorite era of the band. Closet Weather, 2923 Monroe St, and When We Stand on Each Other's Backs are my favorite tracks by them.
This snippet/song/whatever still brings tears to my eyes in the best way. Love it. So hopeful this album exists and will be released.
When I saw tigers jaw in Austin I talked to teddy about the new album and he said they had just gotten the masters in that day. So it’s at least completed and we’ll see it sooner than later
With vinyl delays that could be a fall release (I assume it's not gotten much better than it was). Hope we get a digital release first...
