Is it possible to look at someone's stats before you recruit them?

Apparently you can't recruit Catherine if you chose Black Eagles...lame

 

Love Petra; turned her into a murder machine either up close with a sword or afar with a bow. Third strongest after MC and Edelgard.

Still struggling to recruit, only got Samir and I'm 11 hours in, but I'm nearly a C in a lot of aspects, so hopefully my luck changes soon.

I go to tea with the characters I like and flowers for the rest.

 

I'm about 8 hours in and I adore this game already and can't stop thinking about it, counting the hours until I can get home from work and play it again. I agonised over my house choice for like half a day on Friday but eventually went with Blue Lions. No regrets. I Stan Felix.

Gold truly isn't hard to come by in this game, so 200 isn't a biggie haha

 

I honestly don't really buy much, just weapon upkeep and making sure everyone has a vulnerary or two.

 

Same! I have way more gold than I know what to do with haha. I've been buying the most expensive battalions and I barely ever gambit anyway

I don't gambit a ton, but it can be pretty useful, little bit of extra healing, some additional bowmen, etc.

Finally getting students to join me! fucking hell.

 

how are you making the students join? are you upgrading all your other weapon affinities consciously?

I just train with the various teachers based upon what stats the students I'd like to recruit want of me.

 

is D rank good enough?

the stat req for recruitment still confuses me though. how do i raise byleth’s magic if im a sword class?

 

C is when they started joining for me. And I've still only gotten like 2 students; 3 teachers.

Magic is a tricky stat apparently. I was looking it up and you need to work on the Faith/Reason stats or reclass to a magic user and level up.

Yeah, but it really hasn't affected me using him as a sword fighter. Maybe just go after some of the students? (i know, I don't wanna, but...)

 

I choose Claude because of his humor

 

I was so close to choosing him. Next playthrough. Edelgard is a beast on the field.

 

does auto advance for dialogue means it continues or does it skip it?
