Went Golden Deer, Claude seemed like the coolest guy

 

I've been playing for three hours and I already care about these students so much haha

Marianne is my fav, she's been kicking ass at healing and stuff

 

went to Walmart and they had brought the price back to normal pricing so rude so I guess digital it is.

 

Gonna start playing on my flight home tomorrow. Super pumpt.

 

i was hesitant when they said they took out the weapon triangle, but it looks like it was the right move. i imagined balancing was really tough with it there

based on what i’ve played so far i really like where they went with the gameplay. love that they got rid of pairing. battalion is a nice addition too

 

Am I supposed to assign battalions to each unit or what are they there for? I haven't figured out why I'd want to use them

 

they grant you active aoe skills that has 2 or 3 uses per battle

 

this game has flaws but it's my favorite game of 2019 thus far. some stiff competition yet to come.

im 9 hours in, when the hell do i unlock the blacksmith?

My copy came yesterday, but only just now starting the game. Been sitting here deliberating which house for my first play through, it was eitther Claude or Edelgard. Guess I'll go with the latter this time around.

 

When I started this morning, I was very skeptical of the monastery and teaching, but I fuckin love it

 

Yeah teaching is such an elegant solution to level up characters and shape them. I hope the story goes as dark as the intro promised.

 

im listening to the ign nintendo podcast and they say the plot just goes into very unexpected places in a good way - Dimitri’s in particular

funny im already thinking about how to build my characters on my second playthrough while playing this first playthrough

 

also the music is A+

i stayed at the cathedral for god knows how long

 

Right?! I'm already so excited to play a different house and discover how those characters interact with each other

there is so much good shit coming out that i probably wont get to a second run before the end of the year, but that's cool because the DLC will be out when i eventually do

 

I feel like such an asshole because I’m at a party and I just want to be home playing this lmao. I just beat Lonato and it feels like PLOT is starting.

 

I’m in the same place in the plot and I’m also at a party right now so i feel this hardcore

 

the only party i care about is my Golden Deer party

 

I'm so attached to these kids hahaha.

I want Marianne to open up and be friends with people! I want Ignatz to figure his shit out! I want Leoni to learn self-love can happen in addition to training!

for anyone wondering about the revamped double attack system, from what i’ve read it’s

attack speed = speed - (weapon weight - (strength/5))

if there’s a 4 point different in attack speed the faster unit hits twice (x4 if it’s a fist). might be a good idea to keep the Iron weapons for some units vs Steel early game. also lances are heavy af but that Combart Art is so good. no wonder my Lorenz is always getting x2 attacked a lot
